You are enough...

My daughter gave me a necklace recently. Dainty little thing with just a small rectangular charm hanging from the middle. On the side of the charm in tiny letters it read, “ENOUGH.” As I looked at it she explained, “You’re always telling us not to compare ourselves to others and that no matter what this world says or how others may make us feel that we need to remember that we are enough. But sometimes I think you forget too Mommsy. I know how you struggle with that sometimes. You don’t always believe it but you are enough too!”

Man, gut check! Out of the mouths of babes…If that wasn’t the most humbling moment. I squeezed her so hard.

But she was right. Guys I see other women and then look at myself thinking I’m less in some way. I see people who aren’t single and find my inadequacies somehow explaining why I am and always will be. I see other moms rocking at the mom life and instead of seeing my victories, all I see are the failures…how I’m not enough in every aspect of life, how I’m not enough in relationships, at work, at home, in friendships…the list goes on.

But guys….that’s a bunch of trash! It’s nonsense. Let me tell you something…we’ve all got flaws and imperfections, but that doesn’t make us unworthy or lower our value.

I am a dang good mama! Even on the days I fail, those girls see a rockstar. I am one of the hardest and most dedicated workers! Received the promotion to prove it. Worked a full time job as a single mom while going to grad school full time!! I’m smart, even on my blonde days lol. I am a great friend even when I’m a bad one (my peeps know what I mean). I have definitely not mastered the relationship department, but I am a good catch…got a heart of gold, will give without expectation, serve where needed. I will admit I’m wrong even if I don’t like it and will love unconditionally.

Do I have my flaws…well heck yeah lol. We don’t have time or room for that list lol but I am enough! I’ve always been enough. I am an amazing, once in a lifetime occurrence!! And so are you!!!!

Stop playing the comparison game or watching who does and doesn’t like and comment on your pictures on social media. Stop gauging your value off of people who give you little to no time or effort and you think it’s a reflection of your unworthiness. Stop that!! Now!

God does not make mistakes. He doesn’t create things poorly or with little value. Remember that the next time you are degrading yourself or lessening your worth based off of something or someone in this world. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You have more value than precious rubies! You were made for such a time as this.

Own it. Rock it. Even when you have those blonde moments. The right people will appreciate who you are, where you are and will recognize your value as a treasure. Everyone else….doesn’t matter.

Go and stay where you are valued and appreciated. Walk away otherwise. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life. You are enough!
